2018 Goal

January 3, 2018 By wpadmin 6 Comments

I’ve decided that in 2018 I will do more of what makes me happy.

It’s not that I haven’t been happy. I am actually very happy with my life .

When I’m feeling less happy, or a bit sad, it’s usually nothing to do with my life, as it is at this moment. I tend to feel less happy when I focus on past events and things out of my control that have affected my life.

Mostly I can put these unhappy feelings to one side, but occasionally they do overtake me a little.

One of the things that makes me happiest is bushwalking. So in 2018 I will be dragging out the Camino boots and getting out into the bush more often.

There are many wonderful bush tracks in Central Victoria, where I live. Many of them almost in my backyard.

The plan is to do a big bushwalk every week where possible. So watch out for mouth watering photos of the Aussie bush to come.

Find a place inside where there’s joy, and the joy will burn out the pain – Joseph Campbell, an American mythologist

What makes you happy? I’d love to hear. You can leave a message in comments if you’d like.

I am looking forward to seeing those photos! Taking a walk about my new town and the trails throughout the woods is one of my favourite things to do these days.

I’m sure your photos will be worth the wait Jennifer. I love a good walk – as long as there’s a clear trail or path. I don’t like beating my way through undergrowth or walking into spider webs (or snakes!)

Same for me Leanne. I’d prefer to stay away from spiders and snakes! These days I find preferring to stick to well marked tracks, where I can zone out a bit without having to centraye in my footing

Since being away from home I’ve done so much walking and it makes me happy too. I think I like being active! Bushwalking is great for the soul 😊

I agree Deb. For me it’s necessary for my wellbeing to get out into the bush as often as I can.
