2022 Reading Goals
Each year, I set a reading goal on Goodreads for the number of books I plan to read in the year. In 2021 my goal was 75 books, and I was very happy at the end of the year, to find that I’d read 88 books. This year, I’m, aiming a bit higher at 100 books. To help me reach that goal, I’ve also joined The52Bookclub2022ReadingChallenge. That challenge is to read one book each week in 2022, using a particular prompt. I’ve included the prompts below. A few of them had me scratching my head, but I’ve now chosen all books for this challenge. I will report each month, in my #whatsonyourbookshelf post.
As part of the 52 Book Club 2022 Reading Challenge, I’ve tried to choose books that are on my bookshelf, both fiction and non fiction. I have far too many unread books there, and have been trying to read my way through them, but I do tend to get distracted with shiny new releases that are irresistible. I have included a few new releases in the challenge. Of course, I couldn’t resist. There are also a couple of re-reads on my list.
Below are the Challenge prompts.
What do you think of these prompts? Do any of them seem a bit tricky to you, as they did to me?

I’ll be interested to see how you go Jennifer. Will you blog as you go? Or just makr off on GoodReads?
The challenge I have committed to also has a few tricky prompts. I’m aiming for a few blog posts on my personal blog.
I love the process of researching books for the tricky prompts Jill. I’ll be watching your blog for posts. I’m planning to post an update each month.
What an awesome and inspiring reading challenge, Jennifer.
Please keep us posted. Good luck!
I’ll be doing a monthly update for #whatsonyourbookshelf Donna.
I’ve not seen this challenge before Jen. Some of the items I could tick off no problem but others will certainly require some thought. It is a great way to research books and perhaps take us out of our comfort zone in what we normally read. Happy Reading!
Hi Sue there are a few books on my list that will definitely take me out of my comfort zone. I’ve really enjoyed doing the research to choose the books
