Advice from Ghandi

September 19, 2018 By nextphaseinfitness 15 Comments

I came across  this image a while ago, on a blog, and thought it would possibly be of interest to readers who have an interest in health and fitness and in living their best  life generally. Unfortunately, I’m not able to link to the blog as the link is no longer live.

I find it difficult to point to my favourite piece of advice as I think following all 10 tips here would improve the lives we live.

I’m constantly trying to be the best version of me that I can be,  which some days is quite challenging.
Following the fundamentals of Ghandi as shown here,  would further that cause immensely.

I can only but try and keep trying.

Top 10 Fundamentals for Changing The World

  •  Change yourself
  • You are in control
  • Forgive and let go
  • Take care of this moment
  • Without action you aren’t going anywhere
  • Everyone is human
  • See the good in people and help them
  • Persist
  • Be congruent, be authentic, be yourself
  • Continue to grow and evolve

Which piece of advice speaks to you? I’d love to hear your thoughts and will reply to all comments

Hi, Jennifer – Thank you for posting this. I agree that following all 10 tips here would improve the lives we live. I would also include, “whenever you can, help tilt the world towards peace.”

I agree Leanne. Acceptance is such a relief. It’s just a pity that it takes so long to get to that point.

It’s like a Midlife Mantra isn’t it Jennifer? I love all of them too and being authentic is a really big one for me – no more squeezing myself into impossible shapes to fit the expectations of small people who can’t accept what I bring to the table!
#MLSTL and I’ve shared this on my SM xx

Leanne acceptance is such a relief. Shame it takes so long to get there. Or it did me

Hi Jen, 10 wonderful points of advice and imagine the world if we could all follow them. They seem so easy to do but we are all too busy to stop and actually reflect. Thank you for reminding us and sharing at #MLSTL. I’ve pinned and shared. xx

TSie when I came across this again recently, it really made me sto and think. The world would definitely be a better place if we could take the time to follow these tips. Life does tend to get in the way sometimes Thanks for sharing

I love all of these Jennifer do I don’t know which one is my favourite. I think they’re great for everyone but maybe us midlifers can especially relate as we have that bit of experience behind us now! #mlstl

I can’t choose just one because they all work together to make us and the world around us better. Ghandi was so very wise as are you for posting this. Thank you, Brenda #MLSTL

A good list Jennifer. I’ll share on FB and Twitter today for #MLSTL. The one that stood out for me is “See the good in people and help them”. It’s taken me a lifetime to learn that we can’t do it for someone else and to know where my place is. I’m a rescuer and have learned to set healthy boundaries and not jump in over my head.
