Heading off to the Geelong area today to meet up with my Camino training buddy Nadine. We’re staying the night with Nadine’s friend so we can get an early start to walk the Bellarine Rail Trail tomorrow.
We will be walking with a group of friends who are also interested in hiking, bushwalking and health and fitness in general. This is our first walk for 2013. The rail trail follows the old railway line from Geelong to Queenscliffe. We are walking Drysdale – Queenscliffe – Drysdale. Total distance of about 32k.
This walk is the first of many monthly walks that we have scheduled together for 2013. We’re starting off with a nice easy walk but they will be gradually get a bit tougher as the year progresses.
Nadine and I are also going to take some time tonight to make plans for our 100k walk from Melbourne to Sorrento in April which is coming up very quickly.
