The 2016 Bendigo Writers Festival is now only a few days away. I have been looking forward to it all year, but especially since the fantastic program was released in June. This year’s festival looks to me to be the best yet.
I’ve booked a 2 day pass for Saturday and Sunday which will allow me to see events of my choice, all day on both days.
I’ve also booked a few special events –
Opening Night – Brave Enough: Cheryl Strayed, Benjamin Law and David Astle
The Best He Could Do: Kerry O’Brien
Everywhere I look: Helen Garner
Life’s Work In Progress: Cheryl Strayed
I’m looking forward very much to all of the above but am feeling most excited about hearing Cheryl Strayed speak. As a fellow long distance hiker, I’m very interested to hear her talk of her experiences.
What a great way to spend a wintry weekend in Bendigo
