Finally yesterday I went along to the Blood Bank to make my blood donation. I’ve cancelled a few appointments over the past year, telling myself I was too busy to get there.
As usual the proceedure was painless and fast. I’m now asking myself why I cancelled those appointments. I have a busy life as do many others. But in my mind now, nobody is too busy for the short time it takes to make a blood donation.
If you’d like to make a difference in a way that doesn’t impact hugely on your life, I would recommend making a blood donation. There are never enough donors willing to be involved.
Another suggestion would be to form a group, be it family, friends, work colleagues, or interest group. It’s not necessary for everybody in the group to attend the blood bank together, but all donations will be attributed to the group.
My donation today was part of the Networking Bendigo group donation
