Bloody Long Walk 2018

March 27, 2018 By nextphaseinfitness 6 Comments

In November last year I participated in The Bloody Long Walk in Melbourne. Anyone interested could check out my Bloody Long Walk Melbourne Wrap up for 2017. I did the walk with my good friend Tina. We had a great day, and, although it was hard work, I  enjoyed the event so much, that I decided to participate again in 2018. Luckily Tina felt the same, so we will both be pounding the pavement in training and on event day again this year.

The poster below took my attention when I saw it today. That’s a huge number of steps!

That’s a lot of steps and nearly a full marathon! It’s pretty amazing how much ground you can cover when you just keep putting one foot in front of the other — one step at a time. Good luck to you!

Thanks Christie. As you say, just one step at a time gets you there in the end

With a name like that, how could you not participate! Good luck again to you and Tina. I look forward to reading that post!

I did that last year in Brisbane, Jennifer. It was to be my goal for my 60th birthday. I trained hard with my Saturday Sisters to run it, but a week out and I came down with pleurisy. Of course, stupid me still got up at 3:30am to try and run it and managed 25 kms before I had to stop or my body would stop for me. We are giving it another go this year!

What a shame you weren’t well on the day Sue. Look forward to hearing about how it goes for you this year. It’s a great well organised event
