#BloodyLongWalkMelbourne Wrap

November 12, 2017 By wpadmin Leave a Comment

bloody long walkThe The Bloody Long Walk is now done. Last Sunday at 6am my friend Tina and I set off from Yarra Bend Park, while hot air balloons rose above us.

Our destination was beautiful St. Kilda Beach. As we set off, it was a perfect morning with the promise of a warm day ahead.

The early part of the walk was along the walking/cycling paths until we hit the suburbs, heading towards the City and then on to St. Kilda.

Thirty Five kilometres is always going to be a tough walk. But fortunately it was a flat walk, which made it a little less strenuous than it could have been.

We crossed the finish line with a time of just over seven hours, which we were happy about. We didn’t take any rest stops along the way, so we were ready for a sit down at the end.

I pulled up well, with no soreness or injuries.
