Just a little look at what I’ve been doing for the past few months while I’ve been in plaster.
It’s mostly been about the garden. We have a large country garden which was quite overgrown when we moved here.
So everyday I’ve been out there creating no-dig garden beds. This means laying sheets of newspaper over the soil and covering with straw.
No-dig garden beds are great, particularly when the beds are large, as they stay weed free, and the newspaper and straw will improve the soil as it breaks down over a couple of years.
So far fifteen bales of straw have been spread onto the garden, with five more to go.
The garden is starting to take shape. I’m loving the look of it and looking forward to planting.
