Thinking time was something I had in abundance when walking the Camino de Santiago. One of the things I decided to do when back home, was to give back to the community in some way. At the time, I had no idea how that would occur.
I now have a few plans in place to do fundraising for research into kids cancer.
In October I will be taking part in the Great Cycle challenge. This is a personal challenge to see how far cyclists can ride in one month. It’s also a fundraiser for kids cancer. Usually I would do the challenge but not bother about the fundraising. But this year will be different.
So far my biggest fundraiser will be a huge garage sale of donated goods. I’m begging everyone who crosses my path for a donation of unwanted items.
At Cafe Thirty8, we have been guessing how many marshmallows are in the cookie jar for the cost of a gold coin donation. Having lots of laughs with this.
There are a few other ideas spinning around in my head also. I’d like to have an online auction if I can source a few more valuable donations
Looks like a busy time coming up in the next few weeks. Some more exciting news coming too. But more on that later.
