I’m loving the new Home Gym.
Just thought I’d give an update as to how it’s going after a month of use.
There has now been a rower added which is my favourite piece of equipment at the moment.
Weekday mornings, see the alarm go off at 5.20am and I am off into the gym. The session starts with 30 minutes of running (slowly) on the treadmill. I am using the C25k app to build up my distance, as I haven’t done any running since starting training for the Camino, two years ago. So far, so good with that, just two weeks into the 12 week program.
Monday and Wednesday are Cardio – C25k, Rower, Hill Walks on the Treadmill and knee lifts with weights.
Tuesday and Thursday are strength training. These two days are my favourites. Seems as I get older, I’m loving the weights more and more.
Friday is a mixture of Cardio and Strength, including C25k.
Also everyday I’ve been walking for 2-3 hours, training for Coastrek in Sydney. Our team has now cancelled from the event, so there’s no need to continue with such long walks now. . I will still be walking, but for shorter periods. The big news is that the BIKES will be coming out of the shed again. Both the road bike and the rail trail bike. Really looking forward to riding regularly again. First ride in three months will be this weekend.
