Injury update

August 26, 2016 By wpadmin 2 Comments

So, what have I been up to lately? The above photo probably is enough explanation. Not much at all!

Last week when going for a simple stroll with the dogs, I slipped in the mud, went down with a thud, and the result is a few injuries that time will have to heal.

The plaster is due to broken bones in my hand, wrist and lower arm. The breaks though numerous, are not serious, so plaster shouldn’t be on for too long.

Also I’ve done an injury to one of my knees, which will probably take longer to mend.

The bad news, for me anyway, is that there will be only limited opportunity for exercise for the next few weeks.

Cycling and gym will be out until the bones mend. Walking also will be out until the knee mends.

I am  disappointed that I have to pull out of The 7 Bridges Walk in Sydney. But have my fingers crossed that all will be ok for The Great Cycle Challenge for Kids Cancer in October.

Stay tune for updates. But on a cheery note, I love these flowers that are in my bedroom today.

A few breaks?! You poor thing; and you were on such a roll. However, I know with your grit & determination you will soon be on the mend and back out there. Take time to heal properly though.

Thanks Sue. My pigheadedness will have me back in action sooner rather than later. But for a change I intend to be careful!
