I thought it was about time that I introduced my four legged teenagers.
Matilda is an apricot Toy Poodle and was born on 19 August 2001, so will turn 15 this year. I’ve had her since she was a puppy, so it makes me feel very sad to see her getting older. Although she’s in really good health, I can see that she’s starting to show her age. Her hearing is now almost non-existent, so she has to see me before she knows I’m there. Also I’ve noticed some strange behaviour quirks, which seem to be getting worse, so I have a feeling she may have a bit of dementure. Other than that, she is healthy with an appetite that would put a young dog to shame. Up until a few years ago, she ran with me every day. She has run 20k through the bush with me, many times.
But even though she still loves her daily walk, it’s now at a much gentler pace.
Matilda is a purebred and her kennel name is Yotclub Petria.
Molly is about one year younger, so probably will turn 14 this year. She came to me as an adult, to keep Matilda company, so I only know her age approximately. Molly is full of beans, with no health issues at all. She’s a little ball of fluff with a huge attitude. She has also run up to 20k with me many times. Molly has also slowed down a little, as have all three of us.
They are beautiful
Thankyou. Yes I agree
