Recently I wrote about The things I like and dislike about Christmas On the ‘like’ list was Christmas songs. I thought I’d list a few of my favourites here.
- How to Make Gravy – Paul Kelly
- Last Christmas – Wham
- So This Is Christmas – John Lennon
- Snoopy’s Christmas
- Let It Snow – Frank Sinatra
The number 1 song on the list, How To Make Gravy is my all time favourite. I love it and play it over and over in December. I’m a big Paul Kelly fan, and every Christmas, this song makes me both laugh and cry. For those of you, not familiar with Paul Kelly and this Christmas song, I really would love you to listen
Did you listen? If so did you enjoy it as I do. Or is there another song on the list that is your favourite. If your favourite song isn’t listed I’d love to hear what it is. I promise to reply to all comments.
I really like Tim Minchin’s “White wine in the sun” because I’d really love nothing more than to sit having white wine in the sun with my mum…and son x

I didn’t know this one Sue. But I just listened to it. It’s beautiful. Thanks for pointing it out
Hi Jen I like your list and only recently heard Paul Kelly’s ‘How to make Gravy’. It’s nice to include some ‘Aussie’ Christmas songs. I love all the music at this time of year. Bing Crosby’s White Christmas always reminds me of my Mum and Dad. I enjoy the traditional Carols as well as the Popular songs. It is just a lovely time of year for me. Have a great week. xx
Hi Sue, we’ve been enjoying playing Christmas songs over the past week. It’s one of the joys of Christmas. Thanks again for visiting
