Yesterday I rode the O’Keefe Rail Trail for the first time in ages. There has been much upgrading happening in recent times, and I was very pleased to see the improvements.
Previously it was necessary to walk in certain parts and dismount to open and shut gates. The gates are now gone, and there is no need at all to walk the bike over rocky parts.
I also loved the new bridges that have been constructed.
I rode from the Axedale end to Bendigo, so enjoyed the last few ks of downhill riding.
Will be back again soon, for sure.
