So the holiday is now over. We had a wonderful time with everything turning out to be as fantastic as we had hoped and planned it to be. We crammed so much into those three weeks and have no regrets at all.
But now it’s back to the real world and time to get fit again. I’m feeling quite unfit at the moment. Although we walked quite a bit most days, it wasn’t the same intensity of my usual fitness program. I’m really itching to get back on the bike and back into the gym. Tomorrow will be the first bike ride and Monday will be the first gym session since the holiday.
On holidays, I put on almost 4kg, so I feel that I need to take on another organised challenge to get me back on track as quickly as possible. Also, I have a few goals for 2016, and a challenge will help me keep my focus.
Readers will know that I am an avid fan of Michelle Bridges and her 12WBT program which I have participated in numerous times and was Ambassador for a few years ago. Just for a change and to keep things fresh, I have decided to do something totally different and will be participating in Maxine’s Challenge.
As with 12WBT, Maxine’s Challenge is a 12 week program with fitness and nutritional plans provided. I do love the structure that these plans give. All the thinking is done for me, leaving me to concentrating on just getting the work done. I’m particularly looking forward to receiving Maxine’s new gym programs regularly. The first 4 weeks programs have been sent out and they look really great. The contain exercises that I both love and loathe, which is the sign of a balanced program.
Monday is Day 1. I will be blogging my experiences here, and looking forward to gaining more fitness and nutritional advice that I can bring to my every day life.
