Springing into spring this week, using Denyse Whelan Blogs Taking Stock prompts.
Admiring: Gardens coming into bloom during my first walk, more than 5k from home, on the day lockdown ended
Becoming: A cyclist again, after taking time out due to lockdown restrictions
Curious: To check out Mulga Bill Walking Trail, as I’m a huge Mulga Bill’s bicycle fan.
Delighted: With Get Fit With Rick exercise videos as suggested by blogger friend Jo from And Anyways
Eating: More salads. I really don’t like eating salads in winter. My salad replacement for winter is soup. However, as soon as the sun shines, I start thinking about a lovely crispy salad.
Excited: To be giving my usual fitness program a makeover
Feeling: Blah after winter but happy now that spring has arrived.
Going: Thinking about the day in the future when I’m able to go to Queensland to see my son and grandchildren
Helping: Walking at least 15000 steps each day is helping me to reach my goals #noexcuses
Imploring: Everyone to please get vaccinated
Joking: That I am moving to Queensland if we have to go into lockdown again.
Keeping: The weeds out of the garden – with great difficulty
Loving: My new strength program
Making: Paleo Bread. Yum!
Next: Next walk, now that we are out of lockdown will be at Castlemaine.
Observing: If I eat one piece of chocolate, I eat the lot. This is why I’m best not to eat it at all
Pleasing: Very pleasing to be fully vaccinated
Reading: The Dictionary of Lost Words by Pip Williams, my pick of the month, so far, for September
Staying: Close to home during lockdown which meant being creative with exercise plan
Trying: To get those pesky covid kilos off
Understanding: That it will be a slow process and that’s ok
Viewing: The Olympics and the Paralympics. Amazing!
Welcoming: Sunny days again
X – (Your Choice) Really enjoying spin classes again, using a YouTube instructor.
Yes – Saying yes to at least 5 serves veg of different colours each day
Z – (Your choice) Having my exercise mojo well and truly back

No “joking” …move to Queensland! Yes!! 😊
Your comment went to spam Sue! How dare WordPress do that. Moving to Qld is looking very appealing. Not sure though if it’s doable
Good to see that spring has come! I think your idea of moving to Queensland if there’s another lockdown is a good one. Well done with your cycling and other exercising.
Thanks Christine for your comments
Fabulous Taking Stock post Jen! I also loved The Dictionary of Lost Words but have read a few reviews that weren’t that favourable. Great to see you have your exercise mojo back and good luck with your new routines. I also enjoyed Get Fit with Rick after Jo mentioned it. Fingers crossed you can get to Queensland before too long, it’s been a dreadful time for you. So good to read this fun post 🙂
I’ve also read those negative reviews Deb. I didn’t agree with them at all, and they actually surprised me. Fingers crossed we all get back to some kind of ‘normal’ soon.
That’s a good alpahbet! Hope you get to Queensland soon. I’m supposed to be there right now but we’ll have to seize the day as soon as we’re out of lockdown and pop up then.
Hope you get there soon Christine. I haven’t been brave enough to go between lockdowns as I’m worried about an outbreak and being locked out
Loved how you found so much joy and positivity in this Taking Stock Jennifer. I believe winter has an effect on our mood and you sound like that happens for you. Look at all you are doing and being.
So hope you get a Qld trip in one day. I would be concerned as you are now about “getting back” in this current system of locking everything down as they do.
Thank you for taking part in the 5th Birthday celebrations of Life This Week. Great to see friends who are bloggers linking up each week when they can. I appreciate each and every one of you. Next week, Mr W is back with Time Part Two. See you then if you have a post to share. Denyse.
I’m pleased that #lifethisweek seems to be going well Denyse. I look forward to it each week.
Looking forward to Bernards pist next week Denyse
