Sugar Free at Xmas?

December 18, 2015 By nextphaseinfitness Leave a Comment

IMG_5507-0This photo, showing amounts of sugar in certain foods has been around on the internet for a while now. Every time I see it, I feel horrified and it always makes me think of going sugar free again, as I do from time to time.

But I’m not so stupid as to think that I can go completely sugar free at this time of the year. Pavlova? Christmas pudding? Chrissie cake? And lots of sweets just hanging around the house as they usually do at Xmas.

But what I can do is be a little mindful. Think before I eat. Use those empty sugar calories only on foods that I love. Just be aware of what is going in my mouth and be a tiny bit sensible.

Also if I keep up the exercise, this should compensate slightly. Actually I should be able to increase the exercise as I have a couple of weeks off work and will have more time.
