I’ve been to Maldon many times, and before setting out on this walk, felt that I knew the town well. But not at all, it seems.
Firstly the route took me to Anzac Hill, followed by the ascent up Mt Alexander to the summit, using fairly rough four wheel drive tracks.
After stopping to look at the great view from the top of Mt Tarrengower, the route continued on down the hill and around the town passing historical landmarks from the gold rush era.

This walk, at just over 9k, was very easy though the path up to the summit of Mt. Tarrengower did get the heart pumping, on what was an extremely hot day.
